All London Cup
The All London Cup is the Quiz League of London's handicap knockout tournament.
Taking place each season after the league championship has been decided, the handicap element is introduced by giving teams varying start scores corresponding to their performance, potential performance if a first-time guest side or previous performance in order to even things out a bit.
First competed for in 1992, in 2008 a plate competition was added for teams defeated in their first match.
All Quiz League of London member teams are automatically entered into the competition.
For guest sides, the entry is free.
The cup is a good way of testing the water before diving in to the league season the following autumn.

Donated in 1992 and awarded annually to the winners of the Handicap Knockout Competition.
Plate
The Rules are the same as for League matches EXCEPT
- The order of answering is decided by the toss of a coin.
- AND a draw is not possible so Tie Break rules are added.
Tie break rules are: If the scores are agreed to be equal at the end of Round Eight, then ordering of answering will be reversed and Round Nine will be played as normal.
If the scores are equal after Round Nine then the order of answering is reversed and the first side to have the higher score AFTER AN EVEN NUMBER OF QUESTIONS HAS BEEN ASKED ("sudden death") shall be the winner.
