All four contestants were in contention throughout, and going into the last round Kevin Ashman was in last place. However a strong last round saw Kevin tie with Ian Bayley, last year's runner up, on 14 points, with Robert Willer a point behind on 13, and Mark Bytheway on 11. After the first tie break round Kevin and Ian were still level, and again after the second tie break, so the ultimate tie break question (the length of the Hungaroring GP circuit, in metres) was needed. Kevin's answer was slightly closer than Ian's, so once again Kevin is the Champion, by the narrowest possible margin. Congratulations to Kevin, winner for the 5th year running and the 10th time in all, and also to Ian for coming even closer than last year, and to Robert and Mark for their part in an epic match.
