Results 2006-2007 League Week 11

Broken Hearts march on undefeated at the top of Division I. Once again, in defeating Aldersgate, all four Broken Hearts were in double figures. Allsorts beat Priory Nomads to move into joint second place, leaving a 4 point gap between joint second and Nomads in fourth. There were two key games at the lower end of the Division: Animals had a narrow win over Waterloo Sunset to ease their relegation fears and leave Waterloo Sunset in the bottom slot. Chester Army defeated Uncosy to move out of the relegation zone and drop Uncosy into it. Top scorer was Fred Filby of Chester Army, with a mere 23 points after last week's heroics. Thanks to those who have pointed out to me that Fred's 30 was not unique. Mick Lancaster has achieved this mark at least twice, and former player Brian Sheridan once scored either 34 or 35 (memories fade ...).

Barb had a very close game at the top of Division II, but ultimately came out a point ahead of Rosslyn Park to preserve their 100% record. Barb are 5 points clear of the two teams in second place, who both won: Telstars had a convincing win over bottom placed London Scottish, while Ovalytes just had the better of their low scoring game against Bread & Roses, whose promotion challenge now seems to be fading. Pineapple continue to be find their feet in Division II, as, after drawing their last two games, they beat Accrington Cylindricals this week, to move above them in the table. Top scorer in the Division was Tony Sherwood of Ovalytes with 17 points.
