In Division I the race for the title looks as though it could go to the last game, or even beyond. Having been in the lead throughout, Broken Hearts were overhauled by Allsorts in the last round. Little consolation to Broken Hearts that all four of the team were in double figures. Broken Hearts are now only two points ahead of Nomads, who had a comfortable win over Old Itonians. The top two will meet in the last game of the season. In the bottom half of the table Atletico had led from the start against Telstars, while Barb seem to have found form too late, registering a win against Aldersgate. Top scorer in the Division was Roger Bennett of Nomads, with 19 points.
Division II leaders Waterloo Sunset just managed to hold on to their 100% record, beating Pineapple by one point off the final question. The other second placed team, Gray Monks, also lost, being swept away by a bravura performance from Belly's Mick Lancaster, whose 31 points included a full house. Tomorrow night's game between Gray Monks and Pineapple promises to be a tense affair. With both second placed teams losing, congratulations are due to Waterloo Sunset, who are confirmed as Division II Champions for the 2007/08 season. At the other end of the table, Ovalytes proved far too strong for a three man London Scottish. Meanwhile at Rosslyn Park, the question set had failed to arrive (NB to all - check in advance), so the game was played using the Broken Hearts friendly set. This proved far more testing than the main set, and Rosslyn Park just edged out Accrington Cylindricals in a low scoring game. The best score of the night, and of the season so far, was Mick Lancaster's impressive 31 points for Belly.
